FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
Everyone has questions. Especially when you go somewhere for the first time. Here at City View Church we want your experience to be first-class all the way! From amazing children’s ministries to inspirational worship and messages, our weekend services are a place where you can encounter the life-changing presence of God. Below you will find some helpful information on what to expect when you arrive at the service. We want your visit to feel as comfortable as possible, so be sure to contact us if you should have any questions; you can also ask a guest services member on the day you arrive. Remember, if you have a question not listed below feel free to contact us.
WHAT ARE YOUR WEEKEND SERVICES LIKE?
Each weekend at City View Church you’ll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with exciting, inspirational contemporary worship music and a practical, relevant message. You’ll also find a printed outline for notes in your worship guide that will help you make the most of each week’s teaching. Children are well-cared for in a loving, quality nursery and fun-filled cityKIDS experience.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN I VISIT FOR THE FIRST TIME?
If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for awhile—and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you.
WHAT DO I WEAR TO ATTEND YOUR SERVICES?
Come as you are! Dress ranges from casual to professional. You’ll feel comfortable in shorts or a suit, and what better place to be yourself than before God. Our Pastor usually teaches in slacks or blue jeans and a button-up oxford. Our church is known for its diversity and so we’ve chosen not to have an official “dress code” that takes away from the uniqueness of the individual.
WHAT ABOUT MY CHILDREN?
At City View Church your children are a top priority. Our cityKIDS experience is clean, safe, and staffed with loving workers. We offer a dynamic children's ministry for kids birth through 5th grade as well as life-changing ministry to students from junior high through college.
HOW CAN I MEET OTHERS AND GET CONNECTED?
There are many ways to get involved. You can begin by attending our Church 101 Class. Participating in a City Group or a GROW course are other great ways to connect. In each of these, you can build friendships, learn more about the life of our church, and have the opportunity to grow in your faith.
